Few people would deny the draw of Norfolk and Suffolk as tourism destinations, both for those who live there and those from further afield.
From the tranquil winding waterways of the Broads National Park and miles of stunning coastline to its first-rate attractions, eateries and accommodation, the region punches above its weight. And the efforts of those involved in the tourism industry are shown in its value to the local economy – around £5bn – and the thousands of people it employs across the counties.
Now is your opportunity to gain recognition for the companies and individuals who go above and beyond to make Norfolk and Suffolk better places to visit and stay, whether a boutique bed and breakfast owner or a holiday park giant.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Tourism Awards 2019, launching today, is a chance to celebrate the organisations which make the counties such an attractive destination for visitors. The awards, which merged last year, are now in their 15th year and are once again sponsored by
Categories such as Best Independent Hotel, Best Small and Large Visitor Attraction and Best Food and Drink Tourism Attraction are up for grabs, with four new categories for 2019 including Best Campsite and Caravanning Experience and Eco-Tourism.
Following an event in the breathtaking Bury St Edmunds Cathedral this year, the 2019 awards ceremony will take place at Open in Norwich on Thursday, February 28, when nominees and sponsors will come together for a night of celebration and networking.
